College Campus & Infrastructure Facilities
	Situated in a sprawling area of more than 9 acres of land on National Highway on Pollachi Main Road, at Myleripalayam about 12 kms away from Railway Station and 20kms away from the Airport.
	College is located in calm, quiet, pollution free, cool environment with adequate basic amenities
	Separate building for Administration, Class Rooms and Hostel in an area of 40,000 sq.ft. to cater complete residential programme for the students
	The classrooms are equipped with Modern Teaching aid including LCD Projector, OHP for better understanding.
	The state of the art, laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Thermal, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of material in an area of more than 4,000 sq.ft.
	Basic engineering skill and workshop practice on Bench Fitting Shop, Lathe Section, Special Machine & Welding Workshop with an area of more than 5000 sq.ft
	Marine lab with plenty of used Marine Equipments & AUX machineries for practical training.
	Well setup Computer Lab with modern software and Internet connection.
	A well stocked library with very rich and rare collection of marine and Engineering books, publications, video cassettes, CD's & latest software on Marine Engineering and ship operation in an area of more than 5,000 sq. ft.


	"A Home away from Home" for students. A separate hostel is provided with spacious accommodation, safe drinking water and both veg & non-veg meals prepared in hygienic kitchen.
	Medical help on call, hair saloon and round the clock STD/ISD booth
	Separate building for Administration, Class Rooms and Hostel with floor area of 40,000 sq.ft. to cater complete residential programme for 300 students

	A playground with vast areais available for students to play various games such as cricket, volley ball, foot ball, basket ball. The training is provided by qualified sports instructor.


	Compulsory morning PT, Parade Training by Naval Instructor, regular Swimming Practice & Boating Practice by experts.

	Frequent trip arranged for students to visit Kochi & Chennai Harbour for ship visits, Regular training schedule is arranged at Kochi port trust.

Masters and Chief Engineers of varied ship experience constitute the core faculty members and also visiting faculty members from industrial and corporate backgrounds apart from well qualified, experienced professors / lecturers for academic subjects.

Admission Procedures, How to apply and Terms & Conditions
	Interested candidates has to purchase the Application Form and Brochure through post or personally by paying Rs.500/-
	The candidate should submit the Application Form along with all enclosures within 15 days.
	After scrutinizing the Application, the institution will instruct the candidate to undergo DGS approved Medical Test. The Medical Test will cost Rs.1,000/-
	Once the candidate found medically fit, then the institution will inform the candidate for preliminary tests and admission.
	For doing the initial admission the candidate has to pay Rs.50,000/-.
	Further payment instructions will be given to the candidate by the institution at the time of admission.
	Incase, if the candidate has booked the admission by paying Rs.50,000/- and if he found ineligible, by producing his original certificates, he can collect the entire fees paid for his admission.
	The course fees will not be refunded under any other circumstances.
	It is the responsibility of the candidate to furnish full details and correct information in the Application Form. Any admission made on the basis of wrong information given by the candidate or due to any oversight error of the admission cell, which is deducted after the admission, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission at the cost and risk of the candidate.
	The candidate whose admission will not be in the interest of DG Shipping / University, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission of the candidate irrespective of the fact that he / she fulfills all the academic requirement of the course. The decision of the management shall be final and legally binding the candidates.

SHIP IN - CAMPUS
Work commenced to construct a 5 storeyed Ship in - Campus building with the state of the art facilities. The ongoing project consists of: Ground Floor: (Completed) More than 8000 sq. ft. of area consist of Admin Office, Conference Room, Digital Library, Main Engine Room having of 2100 BHP Engine with full operational condition and allied AUX Machinery including Electrical Generator AUX Boiler & systems. First Floor: (Completed) More than 10,000 sq. ft. comprises of class rooms with individual personal computer connected by main server. Second Floor and Third Floor: More than 20,000 sq. ft. comprises of class rooms with individual personal computer connected by main server. Fourth Floor: More than 9500sq.ft. consist of fully air conditioned auditorium equipped with LCD Projector, Electronic Smart Board and Multimedia facilities. A full mission manoeuvring (Bridge) and Engine Room simulator. These two full mission simulator replicate all machinery / equipment in the bridge and engine room of any modern vessel and will be interconnected to recreate a complete and realistic ship environment. Campus Automation: A campus automation system connecting all the department with in the campus is being planned to facilitate inter departmental interaction and faster response to students needs, aiming for paperless administration.
